Patrick Schwarzenegger, the 30-year-old Gen V actor who is the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, recently proposed to his girlfriend of eight years, model Abby Champion. The pair announced their engagement on Instagram the day after Christmas, and included numerous photos from their romantic, rose-filled beach proposal. Their engagement announcement post featured Schwarzenegger kissing Champion’s cheek while she proudly showed her impressive two-stone engagement ring. The other photos included the duo embracing and kissing on the beach while standing beside a heart-shaped floral arrangement composed of red roses. They also shared a photo of a celebratory cake featuring an image of themselves.

Schwarzenegger and Champion, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, were first romantically linked in September 2015 and made their relationship Instagram official in February 2016. During their eight-year relationship, they have included glimpses into their romance on social media. For Champion's 25th birthday last year, The Staircase star made a sentimental post on Instagram, expressing his love for his model partner with a carousel of photos featuring him and Champion.

Although they both have successful careers individually, Schwarzenegger and Champion have collaborated on multiple projects, including the Fall 2019 Calvin Klein Jeans campaign and an appearance in a Vogue fashion spread in November 2022.
