Washington Commanders Terry McLaurin is Engaged—See His Fiancée's Oval Sparkler!

NFL star Terry McLaurin recently proposed to his girlfriend, Caitlin Winfrey. The 28-year-old wide receiver for the Washington Commanders shared their announcement on Instagram by posting numerous photos showing the proposal at the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory in Florida. In one photo, McLaurin can be seen on one knee, holding an engagement ring box, as he proposed to Winfrey on a brick path by the lush conservatory garden. The duo is shown, in additional photos, getting off a small boat and arriving at a beach where they are embracing each other on the sand with the sunset in the background.

McLaurin's engagement announcement drew significant attention, filling the comments section with congratulations and warm wishes from his teammates and NFL friends, including Atlanta Falcons quarterback Taylor Heinicke and New York Giants wide receiver Parris Campbell. Back in March, McLaurin expressed his love and gratitude in a moving social media tribute to his now-fiancée for her birthday. As high school sweethearts, the couple met at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis. After excelling on four state title teams, McLaurin accepted an offer from Ohio State as part of the Class of 2014 recruit, according to The Athletic in 2022.

After being selected by the Washington Commanders in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, McLaurin secured a three-year contract, which he extended last year with a three-year $71-million deal, as was reported by ESPN.

McLaurin, who achieved an impressive 141-yard performance in Week 15 against the Los Angeles Rams, is just 165 receiving yards away from reaching his fourth consecutive season of exceeding the 1,000-yard mark.
