Carat Weight
0.75 carat diamonds make a good choice for an engagement ring or a pendant.
Shape
The radiant cut is a stunning hybrid of other diamond shapes - it resembles the rectangular silhouette and cropped corners of an emerald cut diamond, but with more sparkle.
Radiant cut diamonds have a modified brilliant cut, making their sparkle similar to princess cut diamonds. Radiant cut diamonds currently make up 3.3% of Ritani's diamond sales.
It's a sophisticated choice for those who want a more extraordinary diamond shape, but still with that classic sparkle. The elongated silhouette of radiant cut diamonds will make your diamond appear larger and will make your finger appear longer and more slender.
Stars who have worn radiant cut engagement rings include Jennifer Lopez and Drew Barrymore. Radiant cut diamonds are also a beautiful choice for custom jewelry, such as pendants and earrings.
Radiant cut diamonds are typically rectangular in shape, but they can also be square. For a square radiant cut diamond, choose a stone with a length to width ratio of 1.05 or less. For a rectangular radiant cut diamond, choose a stone with a length to width ratio of 1.20-1.35. Choose a length to width ratio that is appealing to you - there is no correct one.
If you want to add additional sparkle, choose a halo setting. This can also make your diamond appear larger. Or let your radiant cut diamond stand out on its own with a solitaire setting.
Ring Style
Sidestone engagement rings are one of the most popular setting styles at Ritani. This style features feature smaller diamonds in the band for added artistry and sparkle. Sidestone engagement rings pair beautifully with all diamond shapes, but look especially stunning with emerald-cut diamonds or Asscher-cut diamonds. These step-cut diamond-shapes don't sparkle much, so a diamond sidestone setting will add more sparkle to the ring. There are many different ways in which diamonds can be set into the band of an engagement ring, each creating a different look. French-set diamonds are diamonds that are raised, allowing extra light to enter the stone, and are set with tiny beads of metal. Pavé diamonds look like they are paved into the band and are set with tiny points of metal. Micropavé diamonds are set the same way, but with smaller clusters of diamonds set closer together. Channel-set diamonds are the most secure - they are held within a metal channel.
Lab Grown Diamonds
Lab grown diamonds are real diamonds that are created in the lab instead of deep inside the earth's crust. They are physically, chemically, and visually identical to earth grown diamonds and are indistinguishable even by a trained gemologist.
The only difference between lab grown diamonds and earth grown diamonds is how they were created. Earth grown diamonds are created under high pressure and temperature deep under the earth's surface, while lab grown diamonds are created under high pressure and temperature(HPHT) in a lab
Lab grown diamonds are typically between 30 and 50 percent cheaper than earth grown diamonds! Therefore they have become a very popular choice for engagement ring, since you can get a bigger size diamond for your budget.
All Ritani lab grown diamonds are certified. Most of our lab grown diamonds are certified by IGI, the most respected independent lab diamond grading labaratory.
