For Volume Two of our all-time favorite celebrity engagement rings, we're taking a moment to appreciate designs that are a bit more unconventional yet still inspired future brides around the globe.
Although a heart is considered the symbol of love, heart-shaped diamonds are seldom a popular choice when it comes to engagement rings. However, the darling heart-shaped ring (pictured above) given to the songstress by then boyfriend Taylor Kinney may cause one to reconsider this romantic cut.
The Jasmine Solitaire Engagement Ring
The lovely Scarlett Johansson was presented with this absolute stunner by husband Coln Jost in 2019. There are so many unexpected twists to this design that we adore: it's unique pear-shape totaling eleven carats, the warm champagne color of the diamond itself, and the dark brown band on which it is set.
The Tyler Bezel Engagement Ring
When a marquise cut is done right, the results are breathtaking. Case in point the bold ten-carat east-west diamond given to Catherine Zeta-Jones from Michael Douglas on New Year's Eve 1999. Did you know that the origins of the marquise date back to the 18th century, when King Louis XV of France commissioned a diamond to look like his mistress' lips!
In 2018, Gwyneth Paltrow debuted a ten-plus-carat sapphire engagement ring from husband Brad Falchuk and our collective jaws dropped. Set on a thin band, the ring is modern, fresh and pitch-perfect stylistically as expected from Paltrow.
Sapphire Baguette and Diamond Stackable Ring
Academy Award winner Emma Stone's pearl engagement ring is a breath of fresh air, like the leading lady herself. The ring is designed with an 8mm pearl center stone surrounded by diamonds and set on a gold band.
