Proposing is a daunting task. Not only do you have to find the perfect ring, but you must orchestrate a memorable proposal. Luckily, Atlanta is full of places to get an engagement ring, as well as gorgeous places to pop the question. Here are 6 of the best places in Atlanta to get down on one knee.

Go back in time with the Atlanta History Center, a 33-acre historical site that features an award-winning museum, historic homes, and multiple gardens. This site is so breathtaking that it is even available as a wedding venue.
Don’t miss out on the Swan House (pictured above), a breathtaking mansion built in 1928. Visitors can tour the landmark’s many rooms. If you and your sweetheart are a fan of the Hunger Games series, you’ll be delighted to learn that the home was even featured in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2.

If you plan on hiring a professional photographer to capture the moment, make sure you get authorization from the grounds first. Don't forget to purchase tickets in advance. You can purchase tickets for this memorable experience here.
Located in downtown Atlanta, this giant Ferris wheel towers almost 20 stories high, giving you breathtaking views of the city. Each climate-controlled gondola is private, so you won’t be smushed in with strangers for your proposal. Gondolas can fit up to 6 people, so you’ll have plenty of room to pop the question. For an even more extravagant experience, VIP gondolas are available, which include glass floors for even more spectacular views, Ferrari-style seats, and a longer ride time. Make sure to book tickets in advance here.
Piedmont Park is a romantic oasis in the heart of the city. And best of all, the park is free, so you can ball out on an amazing meal afterward. At night, the city lights reflect beautifully on the water. With 185 acres, there are plenty of places to pop the question, but the gazebo at the center of the lake may be one of our favorite spots. Check out the park map here.
It doesn’t get more romantic than a garden proposal! This picturesque 30-acre botanical garden is located inside Piedmont Park; however, visitors must pay a fee to explore the grounds. It’s recommended that you purchase tickets in advance. To better plan your visit, you can check out which flowers are in bloom by month here.
There’s something so magical about aquariums. The Georgia Aquarium of Atlanta is the largest aquarium in the United States with hundreds of species in it and boasts two million visitors per year. If you contact the aquarium ahead of time, you may be able to get a diver to help with your proposal.
Step away from the city and enter The Garden Room. With charming details and greenery everywhere, it’s a memorable and romantic place to propose in Atlanta. This unique New American restaurant features lavish cocktails and exquisite eats. The restaurant’s glass roof will make you feel like you are in a gorgeous upscale greenhouse.
