Grammy Award Winners Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro are Engaged

After releasing a joint three-song EP titled R&R on March 24th as a tribute to their romance, the musical duo announced their engagement via a music video for their new song Beso, one of the singles featured on their new EP. The video for Beso is an ultra-sentimental montage filled with short clips highlighting the Puerto Rican and the Spaniard's passionate romance, including traveling, enjoying meals, and waking up together. The video culminates with an emotional and teary-eyed Rosalía flashing a sizable diamond engagement ring on her left hand while exclaiming, "Oh my God," in Spanish, before saying, “I love you” to her fiancé. In a recent press statement, Rosalía explained that she and Alejandro have always prioritized their relationship over everything else. This time, however, they decided to put their musical collaboration first so they could finish their EP. According to the singer-songwriter, R&R's three songs each represent a different stage of their love.

Although rumors of their romance began circulating after the couple was first spotted together leaving a Los Angeles restaurant in August 2021, they went public with their relationship about a month later, sharing a video on TikTok of themselves forming a heart shape with their arms, as per a TikTok trend. The day after, on her 29th birthday, the Barcelona native posted a series of Instagram photos of herself and Alejandro looking rather amorous. 

Not long after this, the duo debuted as a couple in November 2021 on the red carpet at the Los40 Music Awards in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. 

The pair even have tattoos for one another. Rosalía has “RR” tattooed on her foot for their first names, and Alejandro has a tattoo that says "Rosalía" in a handwritten font above his navel. Although their recent EP marks the first time the couple has released music together, they have previously had involvement with production and songwriting on each other’s recordings.
