The proposal took place five months after their earlier announcement in January when they revealed that they were expecting a baby girl.

Speculation about their romantic involvement began in April 2022 when Jenner and Blanco posted strikingly similar photos of a waterfall in Hawaii on their respective social media platforms. The following month, the couple was spotted together at Erewhon Market in California, further fueling curiosity about their blossoming relationship. On January 2, the couple shared their pregnancy news through a joint social media post. They included a video from Blanco's doctor's appointment, showing them listening to their baby's heartbeat.

The couple's engagement announcement was shared on Instagram, accompanied by a video of The Hills alum, Jenner, delivering a heartfelt speech during the baby shower, expressing his gratitude to their guests for coming.

Blanco participated, raising an impressive $1,000 for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Blanco's competition came to an end in the third episode due to a challenge loss. Additionally, Blanco made her mark on ABC's The Ultimate Surfer, an eight-episode season that aired in 2021. The show united 14 surfers from various parts of the world, all competing for a chance to win $100,000 and the opportunity to join the prestigious WSL Championship Tour. Alongside fellow surfer Zeke Lau, Blanco emerged victorious, securing the coveted cash prize and a wild card spot on the tour.
